Project News | The groundbreaking ceremony of Boluo Wanyang Science and Technology Makerspace was successfully held

On the morning of September 7th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Boluo Wanyang Science and Technology Maker City (Wan Hong Tongchuang Industrial Technology Park) was grandly held in the Yuanzhou area of the Boluo Intelligent Equipment Industrial Park.

Xie Yuanqu, Secretary of the Boluo County Committee; Wei Yanxiong, Executive Deputy County Head; Li Ping, Deputy County Head; and major leaders from the County Government Office, County Development and Reform Bureau, Science and Technology and Industry and Information Bureau, Natural Resources Bureau, Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, Market Supervision Bureau, Ecological Environment Bureau, Power Supply Bureau, and Yuanzhou Town; as well as Su Xiaofeng, Chairman of Wanyang Group; Yao Lijun, Chairman of Jiangfeng Group; Wang Xueze, Party Secretary of Jiangfeng Group; and Zeng Huanlu, General Manager of Wanyang Group's Eastern Guangdong Regional Company, attended the ceremony.

The Wanyang Boluo Science and Technology Maker City (Wan Hong Tongchuang Industrial Technology Park) is an industrial cluster park jointly built by Wanyang Group and Jiangfeng Group, a leading domestic semiconductor and electronics company. The project has a planned total investment of 1.4 billion yuan, covers approximately 150 mu (approximately 10 hectares), and is expected to attract 200 companies and provide approximately 10,000 jobs upon completion. The project will attract the aggregation of pan-semiconductor materials, equipment, components, and application industries in the South China region, based on the industrial system of pan-semiconductor and upstream and downstream supply chain enterprises, creating a pan-semiconductor industrial cluster. Upon completion, the project will contribute to Huizhou's efforts in accelerating the cultivation of integrated circuit strategic emerging industrial clusters in Guangdong Province and promote the industry's advancement towards the high end of the global value chain. It will gather upstream and downstream enterprises in the semiconductor and flat panel display industry chains and become a benchmark park for the pan-semiconductor materials industry cluster in South China.

At the ceremony, Li Ping, Deputy County Head of Boluo County, stated that the commencement of the project is an important measure for Boluo to vigorously promote the construction of a 100-billion-yuan intelligent equipment industrial park and to promote high-quality development of the 'one belt, one circle, one area' strategy. In recent years, Boluo has seized the major opportunities of the 'dual zones' and two cooperation zones construction, implemented the in-depth integration of Shenzhen and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and its regional GDP has successively broken through the 60 billion yuan and 70 billion yuan marks, with economic development entering the fast lane.

Su Xiaofeng, Chairman of Wanyang Group, stated at the ceremony that Wanyang Group will work closely with Jiangfeng Group, a leading pan-semiconductor materials company, to leverage the resources, expertise, and talent advantages of both parties, to achieve high-standard construction and rapid progress, ensuring early completion and early production; and to build the Wan Hong Tongchuang Industrial Technology Park into a gathering place for pan-semiconductor industry enterprises in South China and a new platform for investment attraction in Boluo County.

It is understood that the Boluo Intelligent Equipment Industrial Park is an important part of Huizhou's “3+7” industrial parks (3 national-level parks + 7 newly built 100-billion-yuan parks in each county). The area has a strong industrial foundation and excellent industrial development conditions. The project has received full affirmation and support from the local government since its inception, and has also received continuous attention and discussion from numerous enterprise clients from all over the country. Wanyang Group will live up to expectations, establish a sound industrial operation and service management system for small and medium-sized enterprises, strive to build a pan-semiconductor industry aggregation platform, and serve the local industry.
