Gu Weiguo, Party Committee Secretary of Changzhou Economic Development Zone, stated in his speech that he was very pleased to witness the groundbreaking of the Jiangsu (Changzhou) Wanyang Technology Innovation Park project with everyone. This is a powerful measure for the Changzhou Economic Development Zone to earnestly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and thoroughly implement the city's "532" development strategy. It will also add new highlights to the construction of our industrial manufacturing powerhouse and Changzhou's creation of an "international manufacturing city." He hopes that Wanyang Group will carry forward its fine traditions of pragmatism and efficiency, accelerate the construction of the park, strive for early image creation; and continuously deepen "industry-academia-research" cooperation with Jiangsu University, accelerate the introduction of a batch of chain-leading enterprises and key supporting projects of the industrial chain, and truly achieve the goal of gathering chains with parks and gathering clusters with chains.

Changzhou Wanyang Technology Innovation Park is Wanyang's first project in Changzhou. The project has a total planned land area of 1350 mu (approximately 90 hectares) and a construction area of approximately 1.6 million square meters. Relying on the characteristic disciplines of machinery and automobiles at Jiangsu University, the project will gather two major industries: high-end equipment intelligent manufacturing and intelligent electric vehicle parts manufacturing.
