The groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of Shantou Chenghai Wanyang Makerspace - China Toy Manufacturing Center was held on the morning of October 25.
On the morning of October 25th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Phase II of Shantou Chenghai Wanyang Innovation Park - China Toy Manufacturing Center was held.

Wen Zhanbin, Secretary of the Shantou Municipal Party Committee; Chen Tao, Acting Mayor of Shantou; Peng Congen, Vice Mayor of Shantou; Wang Chubin, Secretary of the Chenghai District Party Committee; Hu Jijie, District Head of Chenghai; Su Xiaofeng, Chairman of Wanyang Group; and Yang Chenlei, General Manager of Shantou Chenghai Toy Creative Industry City, attended the ceremony and jointly started the project.

Chen Tao, on behalf of the Shantou Municipal Government, extended his warm congratulations on the successful commencement of the project.

Su Xiaofeng, in his speech, stated that Shantou's development strategy of "industrializing the city and strengthening the city through industry" is highly consistent with Wanyang Group's corporate mission of improving the development environment for clusters of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises. The Chenghai Wanyang Innovation Park is a crucial measure for Wanyang to implement Shantou's "Three New, Two Special, and One Major" industrial development plan. The commencement of Phase II will continue the development strategy centered on the Chenghai Toy Creative Industry, creating the world's largest toy industrial park and assisting Shantou's industrial transformation and upgrading for high-quality development.

A bank credit approval ceremony was also held on-site, opening up financial channels for small and medium-sized enterprises that will enter the park in the future.
The Shantou Chenghai Wanyang Innovation Park is a key investment attraction project in Chenghai District, Shantou City. It is planned to be a green and intelligent industrial park integrating manufacturing R&D, warehousing and logistics, production and living facilities, and smart park management. It will become the largest toy industry center in Shantou and even the world. The total planned land area of the project is over 2,500 mu (approximately 167 hectares), with a planned investment of approximately 15.5 billion yuan. Phase I of the project commenced construction in November 2023 and is expected to be gradually put into operation from April 2025. Phase II covers a total land area of 500 mu (approximately 33 hectares), with a total investment of 3 billion yuan and a construction area of approximately 1.2 million square meters. Upon completion, it can accommodate 600 enterprises and provide nearly 30,000 jobs.
