The Fujian (Longhai) Wanyang Innovation City project broke ground, accelerating the integration of Xiamen and Zhangzhou.

On the morning of December 31, a grand groundbreaking ceremony was held at the project site for the Fujian Longhai Wanyang Innovation City, officially launching its construction.

Zheng Longsong, Secretary of the Longhai Municipal Committee of the CPC; He Caicheng, Deputy Secretary of the Longhai Municipal Committee of the CPC and Mayor; Zheng Mingfu, Director of the Standing Committee of the Longhai Municipal People's Congress; Cai Guorong, Chairman of the Longhai Municipal Committee of the CPPCC; He Ai, Deputy Secretary of the Longhai Municipal Committee of the CPC; Wei Xiankang, Deputy Secretary of the Longhai Municipal Committee of the CPC; Zhao Feng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Longhai Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor; Lin Maocheng, Deputy Mayor of Longhai; Chen Dingjun, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Longhai Economic Development Zone; Chen Yueyang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Fuguang Town, Longhai; Chen Zaisheng, Mayor of Fuguang Town, Longhai; Su Xiaofeng, Chairman of Wanyang Group; Jiang Shaoying, General Manager of Longhai Wanyang Innovation City; and leaders from relevant departments, bank representatives, enterprise representatives, and media friends attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Zheng Longsong, Secretary of the Longhai Municipal Committee of the CPC, and Su Xiaofeng, Chairman of Wanyang Group, delivered speeches. A bank credit approval ceremony was also held. Zheng Longsong, Secretary of the Longhai Municipal Committee of the CPC, expressed his expectation that the Wanyang Innovation City will be completed and put into operation as soon as possible, becoming a demonstration project and a driving project to promote Longhai's accelerated industrial transformation and upgrading, cultivate and introduce emerging industries, stimulate a new wave of development in Longhai's private economy, and deepen the implementation of Longhai's major industrial projects, thus contributing to the "Three Improvements, Three Innovations" action. Su Xiaofeng, Chairman of Wanyang Group, said in his speech that Longhai's excellent business environment, obvious locational advantages, and strong industrial foundation make investment here reassuring and reliable. Wanyang Group will leverage its professional advantages to advance project construction and make this a vibrant development hub.

At the bank credit approval ceremony, the Longhai branches of the Agricultural Bank of China, the Construction Bank, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the China Everbright Bank, and the Longhai Rural Commercial Bank jointly provided 2.5 billion yuan in credit for the project, connecting small and medium-sized enterprises to financial channels, injecting financial vitality into the real economy, and effectively solving the problem of enterprise financing.

With the announcement of the official project start by Zheng Longsong, Secretary of the Longhai Municipal Committee of the CPC, the leaders performed the groundbreaking ceremony. Construction vehicles started up, excavators swung their arms, horns blared, cannons fired, and colorful smoke filled the air as attendees witnessed the official launch of the Fujian Longhai Wanyang Innovation City.

Located in the core area of the Xiamen-Zhangzhou integration, the Fujian (Longhai) Wanyang Innovation City is an ecological intelligent manufacturing industrial park jointly built by the Longhai municipal government and Wanyang Group. With a planned land area of 400 mu (approximately 26.7 hectares) and a construction area of 600,000 square meters, it will accommodate approximately 200 companies upon completion. It will become a smart industrial park integrating manufacturing R&D, warehousing and logistics, production and living facilities, financial services, and intelligent park management.
