Wanyang Takes on the Responsibility | Yuan Yongjun, President of Wanyang Group's Zhejiang Eastern Region, Awarded National Advanced Individual in Poverty Alleviation

On the morning of February 25, the National Summary and Commendation Conference for Poverty Alleviation was grandly held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping will present awards to the recipients of the national honorary title of model in poverty alleviation and deliver an important speech.

Yuan Yongjun, President of the Zhejiang Region of Wanyang Group and person in charge of the Cixi Anlong Wanyang Makerspace project, was invited to attend the meeting in Beijing and was awarded the title of National Advanced Individual in Poverty Alleviation at the commendation conference.

Under the recommendation of the Ningbo Cixi Municipal Government, Wanyang Group actively responded to the national call for targeted poverty alleviation, proactively shifting its strategic focus to the underdeveloped western region of Anlong County and participating in the East-West cooperation industrial poverty alleviation campaign.

At the beginning of 2018, based on Anlong County's industrial development plan and the actual needs of continuously increasing the income of impoverished people, after in-depth research, Yuan Yongjun led his team to help Anlong County build a high-quality manufacturing platform for East-West industrial cooperation - Cixi Anlong Wanyang Makerspace. This is Ningbo's first jointly built industrial park project to support Qianxinan Prefecture. The project has a total planned land area of about 1,000 mu and a total construction area of about 1 million square meters (the first phase project has a total land area of 360 mu). The annual output value of the first phase of the project can reach more than 1 billion yuan, providing more than 5,000 jobs and generating about 100 million yuan in tax revenue. The cumulative total output value of the three phases is 2.5 billion yuan, providing more than 18,000 jobs and generating about 250 million yuan in tax revenue.

For more than two years, Yuan Yongjun has devoted himself to the construction and investment promotion of the park, traveling countless times between Ningbo and Guizhou, and making every effort to coordinate the project's progress. Anlong County, Guizhou has become his second hometown - In April 2019, the project investment agreement was signed; in May, the park officially started construction; from June to December, the national industrial investment promotion of the park was fully launched, and Yuan Yongjun personally held more than 10 investment promotion and contact meetings, receiving more than 200 visits from inspection teams from Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui and other places.

At the beginning of 2020, faced with the raging "COVID-19" epidemic, Yuan Yongjun responded calmly and scientifically coordinated, ensuring that the epidemic was safe and controllable, and organized employees to work hard to catch up on the schedule; at the same time, he urgently coordinated resources from the Anlong County Government and Wanyang Group, adding manpower and working day and night to promote the project construction, which laid a solid foundation for the early delivery of the Anlong Wanyang Park. In addition, in April of the same year, the opening ceremony of the "Ala Bingga" Love Activity Center, which Yuan Yongjun organized to build, was held in Bingga Village, Yuzhang Town, Yilong New District, Qianxinan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. 'Ala' is a Ningbo dialect, meaning 'we', and 'Ala Bingga' signifies the deep friendship between Ningbo and Bingga.

“Diligence leads to success”. On September 22, 2020, with the successive commissioning of 14 high-quality enterprises such as Bailekes slippers, Jinlai clothing, and Danfeng furniture, the first phase of Anlong Wanyang Makerspace officially opened. This was two months ahead of schedule, setting the "fastest speed" for the completion and commissioning of cross-provincial cooperation and similar-scale industrial park projects. Currently, more than 400 local impoverished people in Anlong have realized their dream of employment and increased income at their "doorstep" in Wanyang Makerspace, which is also the best reward for Wanyang Group and Yuan Yongjun!
